Sterling Silver Dancing Stone Wood Quay Ring
Fully Hallmarked in the Assay Office at Dublin Castle
This Dancing Stone Wood Quay Ring is part of the Celtic Warrior Collection. This Celtic Ring is decorated with a beaded surface and also a clear cubic zirconia stone in the center. The centre cubic zirconia stone literally ‘Dances’ with movement, making it sparkle and shimmer. There are also cubic zirconia stones all around the centre of the dancing stone.
The Wood Quay collection is inspired by Vikings. The Vikings came to Ireland in 795AD and gave Dublin or Dubh-Linn, meaning Black Pool, its name. They were in Ireland until King Brian Boru defeated them in 1014. This happened during the Battle of Clontarf on Good Friday, April 23, 1014. Wood Quay is the site where the remains of a huge Viking settlement was founded in Dublin in the 1970’s.
The Wood Quay collection captures the essence of these Viking warriors and celebrates their creativity. Using silver and pewter they created dress clasps, necklaces, cloak fastenings, brooches, rings and armlets in a variety of shapes and sizes. These magnificent pieces of jewellery have inspired us to create the Wood Quay Range.
